Why is this study is being done?
- This study may help us learn more about how eating and weight concerns may relate to how we process information. We want to help make things better for those who struggle with these issues and improve treatments in the future. To achieve this goal, we’re inviting teenagers and young adults, with or without eating disorder-related concerns, to join the study.
Who can take part?
- You may be able to take part if you are: 14 to 22 years old.
What will I be asked to do?
- If you decide to be part of our study, you will complete the following procedures:
- Complete a brief phone call with a researcher
If you are under 18 years old, you will need to have a parent or legal guardian join for the phone call so that they can provide permission for you to participate.
Complete a 2-hour Zoom visit, during which time you will:
Answer questions about your health.
Complete surveys.
Complete several computer tasks.
Participants who struggle with eating disorder concerns will be asked to complete a second set of questionnaires 6-months later.
